Rainstorm Destroys Sabagreia Police Station Mast
A heavy rainstorm on Wednesday brought down the mast of a police station in Sabagreia community in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. The rain storm was characterized by strong wind which lasted for about 45 minutes. However, no life was lost in the incident.
Nevertheless, the rainstorm left in its wake damaged electrical poles and wires in the surrounding environment.
One of the women who lives close to the scene, and pleads anonymity, thanks the Almighty God for the fact that the mast did not fall towards the direction of her house, adding that it was a miracle.
We could also recall a heavy rainstorm which brought down we mast of the Bayelsa State Broadcasting Corporation on Monday, 30th of April 2020. The rainstorm also destroyed several buildings at the Radio Bayelsa Station, including the general managers' office."I really thank my God. In fact, this God is too great. This mast would have destroyed my house if it at had fallen towards the direction of my house. Indeed it is a miracle and I appreciate the God Almighty." she said.
